If y’all can find where Jefferson et al. put “and the right to kill an inconvenient offspring shall not be denied.” in the Constitution, let me know.
There is – however – THIS in the Declaration of Independence:
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Self-evident truth: well – they didn’t figure on the level of willful ignorance we’d have 240+ yrs later.
Created: See Jeremiah 1:5a - Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born, I consecrated you…
Endowed: Given, provided freely, continuous.
Unalienable Rights: They cannot be surrendered.
Among these are LIFE….. Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.
Oops… So – nothing from the Founders about the right to kill your baby (it’s not choice… choices happen before, children happen after: At least be intellectually honest enough in the midst of your social justice marches and mindless chanting to admit that ultrasound technology confirms what basic inferential logic tells you: That that is a baby growing inside.
We don’t have a “fetus shower”, am I right? … So at least be honest enough to call it murder or killing of your own progeny… “Choice” makes it sound like you’re checking a box for a wedding reception RSVP – “Honey? Do you want Steak or Chicken?” … Ghouls…
Anyway... I digress… This is why the worthless Left needs the Court – to shove their agenda forward that would not otherwise be approved through ballot initiatives, elections, bills and laws. They need the Court to declare law by fiat. With the death of Darth Vader Ginsburg and the rise of ACB and other Trump appointees, the "right" to slaughter the unborn is on shaky ground at best.
Funny – our founders seem to tell us straight-out that they believe life is well before birth, and that we have the unalienable right to life, but then again – if the Constitution can be “living”, why not the Declaration? But if those are "living", why not the unborn “fetus” growing within his or her mother? Just re-define it, contort it, torture it, and beat it to death: Who needs a solid foundation, right? I mean, if your pursuit of happiness is to have the liberty to kill infants, so be it, right?
